Perched just above the green of the Sedona Golf Resort’s tenth hole, lies a residence that artfully defies local convention. While most of its neighbors embrace Sedona’s version of Santa Fe’s Pueblo style, the owners of this stunning hillside home wanted cleaner, more contemporary lines.

A Sedona Homebuilder's Dream Home
Designed by Paul Overman of nearby Flagstaff for a Sedona homebuilder turned restaurateur, the home definitely has a crisp, modern feel yet the total effect is warm and comforting. It’s well known that Sedona’s fabulous climate provides many opportunities for outdoor entertaining. With generous outdoor decks to further appreciate the unblockable redrock views, this home is made for it. The owners designed a spacious and functional kitchen with more cooking options provided by the serious outdoor BBQ. When the party lasts too long and the guests want to stay over for a great night’s sleep and Sunday brunch they’re assured of a quiet night due to the clear separation between master and guest bedrooms.
"... The solid, quality construction certainly helps too."
The home is entered from a sheltering, deep porch and pivot hinged, wide front door. This artfully patinated door is just a hint of what awaits inside. Throughout the home colorful artwork and tinted walls impress visitors and old friends alike. But it’s the red rock views seen from virtually every room that truly command attention. Large picture windows ensure unbroken views and capitalize on natural light. “I love this house. And Vinny (the couple’s 10 year old Jack Russell) does too. He loves to just sit by a window where he can spot every Coyote and Jack rabbit within miles,” the owner says.
